I had no idea I received a nomination for a 2009 Giant Squid Award until I received a comment on my lens saying “Congrats on your Giant Squid Award”.  I was like – Huh? So I checked into it and there I was Nominated under Best Pop Culture Lens Nominees for my lens on Black Light Posters. I am shocked still and so excited. I would have never thought that lens would be up for an award.

Again I slacked off with making my updates here and I have good reason. I was sucked into Cyber Space for a couple weeks giving my Birthday Party Blog and complete makeover. It was so needed for so many reasons.  While doing so I learned so much in SEO, CSS and XHTML – my head almost exploded. My next adventure is giving my main website; The Party Animal a complete makeover – just looking into all my options – for that will be an even bigger undertaking.

Anyway in between it all I have made a few new lenses if I can remember which one they were – Hmmmm let me think.  Ok I will start with my very latest which I published yesterday for the Squidoo Charity Cookoff – it is all about Dressing your Turkey.  BUT if you know me it is not what you expect it to be so stop by and see the many ways you can Dress your Turkey this year.

Another one I have done is on A Christmas Story Party – Two of my favorite things – I love this movie and I love to plan parties.  You will find everything you need here from your Christmas Story Party Supplies, How to make a Leg Lamp Cake & Cookies, Decorations and I even created Party Games from scratch playing off some of my favorite parts of the movie.  So if you are hosting a Holiday Party you must see this – it is a great Party Theme filled with Ralphie and lots of fun!!!

Oh and you will also find lots of goodies like the Pink Nightmare – Do you remember what that is?

Now with the Christmas Holiday in mind I also put together a Squidoo Lens on Video Game System Organizers. My kids have the Wii and with all the accessories that you can get to go with it like the Guitars, Microphones, Tennis Rackets, Light Sabers and so on – it can become a big mess and not to mention they can get broken if not stored. Us parents know these items are not cheap to replace.  I knew there had to be ways to organize all of that gaming stuff. So I did my research and found some of the best Video Game Organizers available and added them all into one place. I love helping other parents and I also love organization. So if your Gaming Equipment is a mess then you gotta see what is available to help.

I also made a lens called A Room with a Great View. This lens is full of great ways you can give any room in your house a view using Wall Murals. I was amazed when I started researching these at what is available – there is something for any scene you want to have. In addition  you now have the ability of creating a wall mural using your own Photos – can you imagine the possibilities. In the home I grew up my dad had a wall mural up in our kitchen with a greenery feel which I have added pictures of – so I knew how great they can look and the charm they can add. This was just fun for me.

I have also made a bunch of new Hubs on Hubpages so you can stop by and visit me there too and if you have not created any Hubs then get on it. So there is my update – I may have missed something, but that is what I remember right now.  Thanks for stopping by.

Have you heard the news? I made it!!! I am now a Squid Angel and could not be happier.  I have already been flying around Squidoo and Blessing those well deserved lenses.  I also created a lens about me and my new wings you can read here:  Have you been Blessed by The Party Animal? This job is so important – not only are the Angels responsible to Bless lenses, which gives the lensmaster an added Lensrank Boost for a job well done, but we also have to help keep it Spam Free. That is not my favorite part of the job, but someone has to do it.

What I love is that when I travel around I learn so many great things and see some really creative lenses that are written from the heart and those are my favorite ones. My second favorites are the ones that make me laugh and smile and keep me reading all the way to the bottom.  Life is tough these days so when I get to laugh there is nothing better than that.

So watch out you may see me come to your lens and if you want me to check one out just let me know. I am waiting for my official Squid Angel Assignments, but in the meantime I have been soaring and testing out my wings – It is like a Party in the Sky. It also hides my little horns pretty well too!!!

If you do -  Guess What? they have a new show and a new line of books. Who would have thought these guys would make a come back. I still have my books from when I was young and they are so much fun. One of my newest lenses is on Mr Men and Little Miss Toys and Books and you can see some of the changes that have been made with them to be modernized for today’s kids. Not much has changed, but they did have to get freshened up a bit and there are even some new personalities. So stop by and reminisce a little and even take a poll to see which personality you relate to best.

Oh and one more thing if you read this and don’t come visit – I will be forced to relate to Little Miss Upset and you do not want to give me that personality would you?

It has been awhile since I last posted here – kinda forgot about this blog until a recent SquidU forum post reminded me of my neglect. I am so sorry poor SquidTop Blog – I promise I will not neglect you again. I have been so busy with so many other projects my head is spinning off. I have dedicated a lot of my time to my Birthday Party Blog which is my baby and needs a lot of care.

I have also updated my business website The Party Animal and added a lot new products and a well needed cleaning. I have been busy on Squidoo too and I am almost at 200 lenses – just 6 shy, but 6 in the works and hope to be done with those soon.

I have graduated with RocketMoms Session 2 and remain active with the community and will help out with Session 4 coming up and I am excited for that. I love the assignments given to us – it really helps me write outside the box and sometimes I need that.

I completed a lens on 10 Things I will always remember about Michael Jackson as my tribute, but also part of a RocketMom Assignment.  Stop by and check it out and see if some of my childhood memories of him are the same as yours.

First is using the new Caption Module – so go have some fun: What are my pets trying to tell me? – and Drum Roll Please….This lens received a Purple Star yesterday to my surprise. That makes 2 purple stars for me to date.

The next Lens I completed was long over due for me and Rocketmoms gave me the kick I needed to get it done: Recycle your Mylar Party Balloons – It is about the many ways you can Recycle and reuse your old Mylar Balloons.

Then yesterday I took some time to update my Squidoo-be Dobee Doo – That is my lens to help others start with Squidoo and earn some money at home – of course written in The Party Animal Style fun and with Scooby Doo. I am still going to tweak this one and if you are with Squidoo I have a plexo on there so you can add you Squidoo Help Lenses that I am sure I missed being there are so many.

I have been very busy with my Children’s Party Blog and having fun with RocketMoms and Tagfoot lately – always so much to do and see and read – so off I go………………….Blog Blog Blog
